Mastro · Privacy

Ultimo aggiornamento: 5 ottobre 2026

In breve

Microfono e spese a voce

Modifiche

Mastro · Privacy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

In short

Mastro does not collect any data. There are no accounts, servers, ads or usage analytics, and the app does not even have permission to access the Internet. Your budget stays on your phone.

The figures you enter

Income, spending, savings and notes are stored in a file in the app's private storage on your phone. Nobody receives them, not even the developer. Uninstalling Mastro deletes the file.

Android automatic backup

If Android backup is turned on, Android copies the budget file to your Google storage, under your account, as it does for other apps. It is a feature of your phone, not of Mastro, and you can turn it off in the Android settings. Your PIN and preferences are left out of the backup.

Files you save or share

Backups and Excel exports (.xlsx) only go where you choose: a folder on your phone, a cloud service, or the app you share them with. From there, that service's rules apply.

Microphone and spoken expenses

The microphone is only used when you tap the button to dictate an expense, and only if you have granted permission. Your voice goes to the phone's speech recognition service (usually Google's), which returns the text of the sentence. Mastro does not record or store any audio. The recognition service may use the network and follows its provider's policy, for example Google's privacy policy. You can always type the sentence instead.

PIN and fingerprint

The PIN is kept only as a cryptographic hash (PBKDF2), in the phone's secure storage. Fingerprint or face recognition is handled by Android: Mastro only receives a "recognised" or "not recognised" answer.

Reminders

The monthly reminder is a notification scheduled on your phone, without going through any server.

Children

Mastro is not designed for children and does not collect data from anyone, minors included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be on this page with an updated date.
